ElectriPlast: Seven Press Releases Later...

Why

The Euphoria

The December 2009 press release from Integral Technologies was most specific. Eight of the "most useful blends of ElectriPlast" had been selected for extensive testing. Moreover, the PR stated, the test results would be made available by the end of 2009. Finally, the press release listed a number of longstanding initiatives with some of Integral's "customer base." And the implications for the first half of 2010: Contracts! Revenue! At long last!

Then Integral issued a January 2010 press release that announced the successful testing of a blend of ElectriPlast. Mental fireworks went off and hearts raced as Loyal Longs throughout the land rejoiced. ITKG enjoyed a (brief) bounce into share price territory not seen in several years. But could it be true? Nearly seven years after the serendipitous discovery of ElectriPlast, it appeared that our miracle intellectual property was about to enter into wide acceptance as a manufacturing commodity. That being the case, ElectriPlast would soon be incorporated into many wiring, military, antenna, battery, and electrical shielding products!

Between January and May, Integral issued a record six press releases. Each PR cranked up expectations yet another notch. Would the next statement from Bellingham release the long anticipated results of ElectriPlast's electrical and physical properties? The anticipation was palpable.

The Reality

However, on 7 July, Integral appeared to rain on everyone's parade by announcing that it had inked ipCapital Group to develop an IP strategy for ElectriPlast. Bummer to the 10th power! We were expecting to see the rest of the ElectriPlast test results.

Initially disappointing, this relationship is clearly a strategic move by Integral to shore up IP protection, a move that could pay huge dividends down the road. Why? Because big fish eat little fish. A review of ipCapital's website will reveal the nature of their work and their strategic importance to many companies, Integral included. Also, a recent financial article cited microcap NTP and the success they have enjoyed litigating against industry titans who had infringed on NTP patents.

After many years of talking about the conductive properties of ElectriPlast, and flirting with a few industry titans that could have bought us out many times over, interest in conductive plastic and our IP runs far and deep. So, why was it important to get this deal signed? I believe we are about ready to light the proverbial rocket in which case, the signing of ipCapital tells me that the Boyz in Bellingham are adding yet another concentric circle of protection around our intellectual property. Logically, this is the last move before showing the world that we have the goods and it works as we have said all along

The release of the other seven data sheets, which will prove the validity of ElectriPlast, will have a school of big fish drooling over our IP. Our safety net is ipCapital Group. It makes imminent sense to put that strategic piece of the mosaic in place, before putting our portfolio of ElectriPlast test results in the public domain.

The Future

After seven press releases, the long awaited data sheets, arguably the most important announcement in Integral Technologies' storied history, could be, in fact, it must be the subject of the next press release from Bellingham.

Stay tuned, folks.

As a long-time shareholder I'm all for the protection of the Company's IP, dotting the i's and crossing the t's and the like. Afterall, it is the IP that will ultimately drive ITKG's growth in value. That being said, it seems to me that investors may need to prepare themselves for another long "wait and see" period (possibly). We all know that the patent approval process is a long one (currently only getting longer), and isn't it possible that IPC will want to file additional patents to protect the "technical know-how" and "trade secrets" surrounding Electriplast?

Unfortunately there are consulting firms out there that will create "unecessary" work to justify their role/payment. I'm not saying that IPC is such a company, nore am I saying that additional IP protection isn't needed. I can't say either of these things with any level certainty as I just don't know -mainly due to the lack of transperancy from the Company. I only offer the above scenarios as possibilities, but possibilities that can not be ignored by investors after such a long period without purchase orders. I doubt the loyal longs can stomach another long wait at this point.

Maybe Apple should talk to ITKG
about the reception problem they
are having with the new IPhone.

Is a casing made of Electiplast
the solution?

I am not sure that some of the flock will understand your logic, as they are very impatient and a few heavy nay-sayers (though I don't know why they hang around?? They must be 'secret' investors in their own minds). I agree with the big fish vs little fish concept. Good explaination.
